For the summer of 2023, PC3 will bring its first-ever cohort to campus from May 31st to August 5th, 2023. As a participant in PC3, students will be on the University of Michigan's Ann Arbor campus for 10 weeks during the summer. PC3 offers:

  • Stipend of $6,000
  • Academic advising
  • Peer-to-peer mentoring
  • Job shadowing and career exploration
  • Student-led, non-credit coursework
  • and more fun activities with your cohort!

The Pharmacy Community College Connect program is for students from Tribal and Community Colleges that share geography with the state of Michigan.

The deadline to apply for the Summer of 2023 is March 6, 2023 at 11:59PM (EST).

The application will ask for a variety of information about yourself, including but not limited to:

  • Name
  • Date of Birth
  • Gender
  • Citizenship
  • Race/Ethnicity
  • Contact Information

In order to complete the application, you must submit a transcript. It is best to have this ready before starting the application, and it can be submitted as an attachment in the application or sent to us electronically at pharmacy.pc3@umich.edu.

An unofficial transcript copy is best, and can be in a file format or as a screenshot.

If you have attended multiple colleges or universitiesyou will need to submit a transcript for each one.

There will be two open-ended response questions.

  1. Personal Essay: In 2-3 paragraphs, introduce yourself and address the following questions:​
    • How would you describe yourself? How would others describe you?
    • What exposure have you had to the field of pharmacy and how has this influenced you?
    • What unique skills, qualities, or life experiences would you bring to the health professions?
    • What are your goals as a health professional?
    • Why do you want to participate in the Pharmacy Community College Connect program?
  2. Extracurricular Activities: Please share with us any extracurricular activities that you are a part of (e.g., sports, hobbies, organizations).
